We are looking for a service-focused and knowledgeable Chef De Partie to join our team at Bovinity!

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a kitchen and be able to work in a fast paced environment. The focus of the role is to work directly under the sous & amp; head chef to prepare food for cooking.

Job description:

  • Take orders from the sous chef on what food is being worked on for dinner/lunch service.
  • Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including peeling, chopping, cutting, and grating ingredients as needed.
  • Assist with the cooking of food during service.
  • Use various kitchen tools such as knives, peelers, mallets, and ovens/hobs to prepare food.
  • Keep the kitchen and work area in a clean and sanitary condition, following food safety guidelines.
  • Keep on top of orders and food prep, ensuring seamless meal delivery to the diners.
  • Ensure leftover food is properly stored and dated in the correct area.
  • Follow food hygiene and safety guidelines at all times.

As a Sandwich and Deli Chef at Brownes of Sandymount, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional sandwiches and deli items that satisfy our customers' taste buds and exceed their expectations. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will be instrumental in maintaining our cafe's high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation:

    • Prepare and assemble a variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and deli items using fresh ingredients.
    • Ensure that all food items are made to order, following established recipes and portion control guidelines.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work station and adhere to food safety standards.
  2. Menu Innovation:

    • Collaborate with the cafe management team to develop and refine sandwich and deli offerings.

-Producing all food consistently to the correct quality and standard.

-Facilitating the smooth running of each Kitchen section by:

-Logical and efficient fridge organization.

-Correct stock control and rotation.

-Training the junior team in recipes, techniques, time management and performance.

-Diligently adhere to all food hygiene and health & safety standards.
